Talks of Engine Issues

The qualifying session was also marred by reports of engine issues affecting some drivers. Mercedes' George Russell and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz both experienced problems with their power units, which could have an impact on the race performance.

Russell's car developed a misfire in Q1, forcing him to abandon his second run. He will start 16th as a result. Sainz also struggled, recording a time that was almost two seconds slower than Leclerc's.
